This is a 1 day class led by Claire on Sunday 21st Jan 2018. Class times will be 10am-3pm and you should bring along a packed lunch.
It is recommended that you bring your own Sewing Machine to the class, we do have a limited amount of loan machines so if you require the use of one of these please let us know so that we can allocate one. A basic sewing knowledge and the ability to use a sewing machine is required.
There are two projects to choose from for this class:
Students can make a Patchwork Bag from a kit, this class includes your choice of one of our Fat Quarter Bundles. Please let us know in the order comments which bundle you would like so we can allocate your fabric. All materials are provided and you will get the instructions needed to recreate the project any number of times at home. This is a great project for those new to patchwork and quilting. The price for this project including fabric is £45 per person.
The second project is a 115x80cm quilt. You will need to purchase fabric seperately for this project and bring your own sewing machine. Fabric requirements: All fabrics used should be 100% cotton - 7 Fat Quarters, 1.5 metres of backing, 0.5 metres for binding and approx 130x100cm wadding. You are more than welcome to choose from our range or to bring your own on the day but we do recommend choosing before the class to allow as much sewing time as possible on the day. If you need assistance choosing fabrics please pop in to see us or send us an email. The price for this project excluding fabric is £35 per person.
Spaces for this course are limited to 8 students so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
Please note the class is held on the first floor so if you have mobility issues please contact us before booking
