Freehand machine embroidery workshop with Stacey from Art Sea Craft Sea. Bicycles and Balloons! Two workshops in one day on Sunday 17th March! Come to one or stay for both!
The first workshop will be to create a greetings card depicting a bike with a basket full of embroidered flowers. You will learn one of the techniques of how to transfer your traced drawing onto the card as well as all of the basics of freehand machine embroidery. You leave with an impressive and pretty card to give to a loved one along with learning great new skills for yourself along the way.
The second workshop will be to create a beautiful picture of a lady floating off into the sky with her balloon. You will be given an outline to copy to depict the figure and then you have free rein to create one or a number of balloons, using appliqué in whichever fabric you choose! The sky really is the limit. This is a great way to build confidence and hone your technique, allowing you to produce something impressive for your first attempt at freehand plus allowing you to utilise your new found skills on your ongoing projects once you get home.
This is a great versatile skill that can be used in a whole host of ways. All sewing machine use, equipment and materials will be provided within the course price.

Workshop No. 2. 1.30-4.30pm
